"We spent a week in the winter with 3 teenagers and 2 pre-teens — the perfect chalet for kids and adults to have both a relaxing and fun time. Kids played ping pong, air hockey and board games downstairs; adults read and prepared meals upstairs. Everyone already wants to go back!"

"Exceeded our expectations! The house was warm (despite -30°C outside) and inviting. The layout was perfect for our family who range in age from 10 to 75 — everyone could participate in family activities or have their space. John was very thoughtful and made our Christmas holiday perfect."

"An amazing experience for our whole family. Our host made us feel right at home. In a very elegant, almost "magazine cover" style, the house fits perfectly on the lake. My husband loved the architecture and worked online peacefully. My sons enjoyed the lake and expansive deck. I loved cooking in the spacious, chef-suited kitchen. We will definitely return."

"There is something about this chalet that does not leave you when you leave it: the view. The wide all-windows façade overlooking the lake is breathtaking. Well-equipped with nice appliances, 4 comfortable bedrooms, a large living room, and a basement with ping pong, air hockey and foosball. John was very helpful — he even stayed late to greet us after a delayed arrival. Highly recommended."

What you'll find here

The chalet is located about 55 minutes from Mont-Blanc (Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré) and 1 hour from Mont-Tremblant — two major Laurentian resorts reached via Route 321 south and the Highway 117 corridor. For off-resort days, the Lac-Simon XC trail network (16 km of maintained trails) is 10 minutes away. In winter, an AWD vehicle or winter tires are strongly recommended. The fireplace burns real wood (not gas), and cathedral ceilings help distribute warmth throughout the open living space. Firewood is provided, dry, and stored on the back deck. The main floor is kept at 20–22°C with a backup heat pump, ensuring the chalet feels warm upon arrival. The lake typically freezes by late December. Access to the Petite-Nation regional snowmobile network is nearby, depending on ice conditions. The chalet sleeps up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, with a lower-level games room (air hockey, foosball, ping-pong) for off-piste days. The closest full-service grocery store is Metro Chénéville, about 10 minutes away — guests are encouraged to stock up before arrival.
